Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma

As is usual, yet another cooking showdown unfolds between Joichiro Saiba and his son Soma at a restaurant in the lower part of town named Yukihara. Having graduated middle school, Soma studies cooking at his family’s restaurant, Yukihira, with the goal of one day surpassing his father in cooking skill.

However, the restaurant closes down abruptly, and at his father’s suggestion Soma takes the entrance exam to Japan’s leading culinary school, Totsuki Culinary Academy. The academy only trains the highest caliber chefs and is an elite school from which on 10% of students graduate…
